Why Join the KC Metro Beach League?

  • College-Ready Format: Experience the game just like the pros and college athletes. We utilize BVCA College Style play to ensure the highest level of competition and development.
  • True Team Environment: Unlike traditional doubles, our league focuses on team success. Each team consists of 6 to 9 players, divided into three pairs (1s, 2s, and 3s), competing simultaneously to win the overall match.
  • Professional Standards: We follow official USA Beach Volleyball and NCAA-approved rules.
  • Grow Your Game: Beach volleyball demands all-around athleticism, improving your jumping power, defense, and strategic passing.
  • Where you play: Your team will sign up for a home base practice location but will travel for match play

How The League WORKS

The league follows a structured schedule designed to maximise play and improvement over a 7-week season.

Match Format

Teams of 6 players face off against an opposing school.

Matches are played Best 2 out of 3 sets. The first two sets go to 21 points, and a third tie-breaking set, if needed, goes to 15.

To ensure fair competition, pairs are ranked by skill level (1, 2, or 3) and must play against opponents of the same rank.

Officiating

In the spirit of the game, matches are self-officiated. To ensure accuracy and fairness, coaches will be trained on official rules and are expected to facilitate play and resolve disputes according to standard protocol.

Weekly Schedule

Matches and practices are held in the afternoons to fit the high school schedule.

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
4:00 PM – 5:30 PM (5:10pm at Volleyball Beach)

Tuesday and Thursday
4:00 PM – 5:30 PM (5:10pm at Volleyball Beach)

Each match day consists of one 1-hour match.

About The Leagues

Crew Kids Club

Research shows kids who play multiple sports are healthier, happier, and less likely to burn out. The current state of youth sports does not support the research so we created Crew Kids Club. With Crew Kids, your child gets variety, friendships, and confidence—without the stress. Brought to you by KC Crew, Kansas City’s leader in community sports and social activity for over 150,000 adults in the last 13 years.

Kingdom beach

Kingdom Beach develops complete athletes through elite training, high-intensity tournaments, and a college-recruiting pathway – all inside a serious supportive culture.

Kingdom Beach Volleyball (KBVB) offers youth leagues, regional & national youth qualifiers/tournaments, and training. KBVB hosts KC PRIME a boys and girls national club.
